San Antonio, TX Air Conditioning Repair

There are a few common noises that your AC could start to make when it needs to be fixed. Here are just a few of them.

Air Conditioning Making a Squealing Noise

If your air conditioning system makes a squealing noise when you turn it on it likely means that there is something wrong with the fan belt. If your fan belt is old and worn out it will likely start to squeal when you turn on your AC. This problem is easily fixed by changing the belt.

Air Conditioning Making a Hissing Noise

If your air conditioning system makes a hissing noise it likely means that you have a refrigerant leak somewhere. It could be coming from your compressor or from your reversing valve (if you have a heat pump).

AC Making a Buzzing Noise

If your air conditioning system is making a buzzing sound it likely is coming from one of the solenoids inside your system. This is usually normal and doesn’t indicate that anything is wrong.

AC Making A Gurgling Noise

A gurgling sound coming from your air conditioning system is usually an indication that you have low refrigerant. If your refrigerant is low, the gurgling is usually caused by air in the lines.
